The mind is the instrument of encounter.

Offering

Participants are guided through a sensory, consent-based encounter with primary source materials. Using poetry from the August Wilson Archive, they develop codes of honor and a felt understanding of what it means to be in the presence of cultural memory.

Audience

Artists, writers, educators, and anyone curious about what it means to be in the presence of cultural memory. No archival experience needed.

Form

60 minutes. Live (in-person or Zoom) or asynchronous.
