Introduction to Intimacy Coordination

Support is the instrument of capture.

Offering

This cycle introduces the principles, tools, and ethical framework of Intimacy Coordination for film, television, and camera-based media. Participants learn how intimate and vulnerable content is analyzed, prepared, and coordinated on set through a consent-forward choreographic process that accounts for camera framing, editing, and the unique power dynamics of on-set environments. This is the classroom where performers, directors, ADs, and crew members learn what Intimacy Coordination is, why it exists, and how it changes the set.

Audience

Film and television performers, directors, assistant directors, producers, crew members, film school students, and individual practitioners. No prior experience required.

Form

60 minutes. Live (in-person or Zoom) or asynchronous.
